Barbara M. Marcus

Ms. Marcus was born 3/29/1934 in Charles Town, W VA, the daughter of the late Joseph Martin Milton and Sadie Elizabeth Perks Milton.

After marrying Raymond L. Marcus, Jr., she moved to Winchester, VA.

She worked for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival at their Headquarters on the Queen and Court for many years.

After retiring from the Winchester Medical Center as a staffing coordinator, she moved to Atlanta , GA to live with her daughters' family to spend time with her grandchildren.

Working in the yard taking care of the flowers was a favorite past time. She truly had a green thumb.

Traveling was also a favorite, enjoying trips to Europe and the Caribbean with the family.

She is survived by a son, John Eric Marcus of Mim, Florida and wife, Karen, daughter Cheryl Marcus Whitmer and husband, Jimmy of Atlanta, Ga.

Grandchildren include, Jessica Marcus Cayse and Husband Travis of Ocala, Florida, Morgan Elizabeth Whitmer of Tokyo, Japan and Nathan Marcus Whitmer of Atlanta, GA.

Great-grandchildren are Marcos Cayse, Lilly Cayse and Brooklyn Cayse all of Ocala, Florida.

Surviving siblings include sister, Linda Milton Magaha and brother, John Milton, both of Charles Town, WVA.

Ms. Marcus was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Milton and Carl Milton and a sister, Ola Mae.

Cremation will be followed by a private service at a later date.
