Bernice Anne Cummings

Bernice Anne Cummings, age 79, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on December 19, 2018. Bernice was born on November 29, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Bernard and Anna Cummings.

Through her life for twelve years, Bernice served the Lord as a Sister of Charity teaching high school students in Pittsburgh, PA. Soon thereafter, she became a director for an assisted living facility for the aging. Bernice also worked with youth while working for Job Corp. She was always a giving person who received fulfillment by helping others in their time of need.

In her spare time, Bernice enjoyed traveling, bird watching, was an avid reader, and had a great love for dogs. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and watching the waves. Bernice was known by many as “Aunt Bernice” and will be missed dearly.

Bernice is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill Cummings.

She is survived by the Macurak family, Marilyn and Jim, Matt (Michelle), Brian (Mitzi), Jami, Mary, Scott (Laura), Michael (Allison), and sixteen great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Bernice will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at one thirty in the afternoon, at Saint Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 1618 Ben King Rd, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144. The family will receive friends for visitation between six and eight o’clock in the evening, Thursday December 20, 2018 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
