Bobby was born on February 20, 1937, in Eastman, Georgia, to Lois Louise Coleman Boyette and Wesleyan Clyde Boyette, Sr., both of whom preceded him in death, along with his brother, Wesleyan Clyde Boyette, Jr.
From an early age, Bobby was known for his strong work ethic. As a young boy, he delivered newspapers and later worked bagging groceries at the Big Apple Supermarket in Warner Robins. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1956. Shortly after, he and two of his closest friends enlisted in the United States Air Force. While stationed in Wichita Falls, Texas, Bobby married his beloved Anita on February 20, 1960. Anita made the journey alone by bus from Macon, Georgia to Texas to join him—a testament to their deep and enduring love. They remained devoted to one another until Anita’s passing in 2016.
Following his service, Bobby worked as a civil servant at Warner Robins Air Force Base before beginning a long and dedicated career with Diebold, Inc. in Atlanta, where he worked for more than 40 years before retiring. In retirement, he found joy in working on projects, lending a helping hand to others, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
In 1972, Bobby and Anita became members of Kennesaw Methodist Church (then Kennesaw United Methodist Church) at its original location on Cherokee Street. Bobby and Anita, along with their children, attended regularly. Both Bobby and Anita remained very active members of the church until they passed away. Bobby was also passionate about his work and contributions to Must Ministries and Habitat for Humanity for many years. He even managed to find the time to work the election polls for about 20 years -- along with Anita for many of those years.
Bobby is survived by his children: Bryan (Toni), Lisa Daniels (Will), Rick (Mo), and Randy (Beth); his siblings, Charles Boyette and Jan Carpenter (Mike); as well as nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Winkenhofer Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Kennesaw Methodist Church in Kennesaw, Georgia, followed by a graveside service at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
