Bryan Cole Adkins, 35, of Acworth, Georgia, died on February 15, 2015. Bryan died suddenly at home with his beloved dogs Sam and Lola by his side. He was born on April 4, 1980 in Wheaton, Illinois to Ricki Adkins and Keith Adkins.
His family felt that a poem his mother wrote him on his 21st birthday best described Bryan’s life.
Happy birthday to my youngest son, Bryan,
Who 21 years ago today, his mother was cryin’!
She was given a lovely baby boy with eyes of blue,
Who had a weird Seven Dwarf’s Dopey hairdo!
He was so little and sweet, her heart was stolen,
Until his hormones kicked in and he started growin’.
From Chicago to Omaha to Atlanta he flew,
And finally found roots by the time he was two.
He played and grew into a wonderful man,
Until age 16, and off to Texas he ran.
Dedication and hard work, he showed off of us,
To be accepted to college in Nacodoches.
Here he is established in this little town,
‘Til he gets another hair, then off he’ll be bound.
We all love him and wish the best that we can,
For now he’s 21 and legally a man!
Bryan is survived by his mother Ricki Adkins, father Keith Adkins, step-mother Annette Adkins, brother Brandon Adkins, sister-in-law Kelly Adkins, nephew Benjamin Adkins, nephew Samuel Adkins and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Bryan was a giant teddy bear that would give you the shirt off his back. His amazing presence, smile and love will be greatly missed.
