

Carol Nussbaum Missry was born to Henry Nussbaum and Goldie Wilson Nussbaum April 20th, 1948, in Covington Kentucky. She grew up as the middle child of 9 children, and was always a very free-spirited and independent person. Carol had a big heart, and always loved to make people laugh. She was incredibly talented, and was very passionate about her arts and crafts, as well as her love for baking. She was an avid collector of items as well, and a lover of the music from the 50's and 60's. She also enjoyed playing games on her phone and was proud of her high score. She could also be found watching her favorite westerns and singing along to the theme songs.
Carol's greatest joy was her marriage to Morris Missry. They were inseparable for 53 years. She loved the family they created together, and enjoyed every second she was able to spend with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Alison Gilbrook (John) and Valerie Best (Jason), her brother, Ray Nussbaum, as well as her sisters, Mary and Goldie Nussbaum. Eight grandchildren; Katie, Sarah, Joseph, Nicholas, Thomas, Collin, Laura Grace, Jonathan; three great grands; Mackenzie, Jackson, Paylan and predeceased brothers; Donald, David, Willie,and Henry, and sister Dorene.
A visitation for Carol will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Following the visitation will be an inurnment from 11:30 AM to 11:50 AM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30114.
