Carolin Julia Stripland Jones joined the heavenly host late Thursday evening on January 14. Born in Marietta, GA to Bailey and Pauline Stripland on April 29, 1944. Carolin was a lifelong Cobb Countian who taught in Cobb County Middle Schools for 35 enjoyable years. Carolin was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Brenda Houle, and survived by her husband Stan, daughter Alicia Burnette (Brian), son Anthony Waldrop (Janice) and grandsons Alex, Cohen, and Joel Burnette and Alan Waldrop.
We cannot honor her life and death without talking about love. Carolin believed that GOD is love and spent her time on earth spreading that love on family, friends, and students. Love never dies but transitions through the heavens and the earth.
Visitation is 2-4pm and service at 4pm, Sunday Jan. 17 from the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Dr. J. Perry Fowler officiating. Burial at 10:30am Monday, Jan. 18 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
