Carrie Winters, 92, of Cartersville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Funeral services are Friday, January 10 at The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville beginning at 2pm with Dr. Joe Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw. The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday beginning at 1pm.
Born in Winder, Ga. Ms. Winters was a longtime resident of Kennesaw, Acworth, and Cartersville. She was an active member of The Church at Liberty Square where she was involved with the Mighty Warriors Senior Adult Class and the Golden Eagles Ladies Ministry. Ms. Winters also served as President of the Young at Heart Club. One son, two sisters, three brothers, one son in law, and her parents preceded Carrie in death.
Those who survive Ms. Winters are her sons – Desmer W. Beavers, Jr. (Pam) of Douglasville, Samuel E. Beavers of Blairsville, GA., Michael R. Beavers of Dallas; daughters – Jean Evans (Ray) of Merritt Island, FL, Cherlyn Jordan of Rome, and Diane Goodson (Bill) of Kennesaw. 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren also survive her.
