Cathy was an adventurous, courageous, compassionate, and deeply loving woman who embraced life with an open heart. She had a gypsy spirit that loved to explore, a heart that cared deeply for others, and a strength that carried her through life’s many challenges. Above all, Cathy was a loving and devoted mother. Her boys meant the world to her, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Her love for her children was unconditional,fierce, and unwavering.
Cathy had a beautiful combination of grace and adventurous spirit. She was a ballet dancer, bringing elegance and artistry into her life. She also had an entrepreneurial side, owning her own dress shop and expressing her creativity through her work. She found great happiness in the outdoors. Whether camping beneath the stars,
hiking through the woods, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, Cathy loved the freedom and adventure that came with being outside.
To her husband, she was more than a wife or a partner in life. She was his girl. Cathy and Frank were knocking on the door of their 30th wedding anniversary, nearly three decades of love, laughter, challenges, and a lifetime of memories. Through the years, through the adventures, and through all the joys and hardships life brought their way, she would always be his girl.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Father Homer and Christine Goumenis, and her son, Cole. She is survived by her son, Chris; her husband, Frank; and her brother, David.
Her life was filled with love, courage, compassion, and adventure. Those are the things that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

A Committal Service will be held at Pineridge Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, on November 2, 2026.
