Charles Calvin Moon III

Charles Calvin Moon III, 63, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Calvin was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Marie, with whom he shared forty cherished years of marriage. He was also a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. Above all, family was the cornerstone of his life.

Calvin found joy in simple pleasures — whether playing golf, watching sports, spending time with his grandson and vacationing in Gulf Shores. Known for his straightforward nature and his witty, often delightfully nonsensical one-liners, he brought warmth and laughter to those around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Calvin is survived by his devoted wife, Marie Moon; his daughter, Sara Moon; his sons, Jeffrey Moon (Sarah) and Brian Moon (Jenna); his brother, Mark Moon; his sister, Vickie Robinson (Kearney); his grandson, Calvin Moon; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Charles Calvin Moon Jr. and Martha Moon.

A funeral Mass to honor Calvin’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, located at 87 Lacy St NW, Marietta, GA 30060. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
