death by her husband of 58 years, James H. Cox. She was a long-time member of both South Louisville and Shively Christian Churches.
She had worked at U of L Dental School and at Sears. Charlotte moved to Macon, GA in 2003 to live with her daughter Pamela Cox Johnson and moved to Assisted Living in 2011 near her son James "Tony" Cox (Marsha) in Acworth, GA. She has one brother, Donald Mires (Babette) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Sister-in-law Mary Bauer (Bill) of Seattle, WA. In addition to her two children she leaves 3 grandchildren: Leah Stokes (Chris), Andy Cox (Kandi), and Elizabeth Cody Johnson, and three great grandchildren: Zoe Stokes, Gabriel Cox and Kayla Stokes. In lieu of flowers Charlotte would love donations to be made in her name to Second Mile Mission, in care of Steve Shouse, Shively Christian Church, 1822 Kendall Lane, Louisville, KY 40216.
Services are Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Heady's at Resthaven on Bardstown Road. Visitation from 3 to 7 Pm, funeral service at 7:00pm.
