Christine was a very loving woman. Some would say she never met a stranger. Anywhere she went, she always talked to people. She always wore a warm smile on her face. Her bubbly, outgoing personality made it hard to not be drawn to her. She was very independent during a time when most women were not. She built her own house and did a very large part of the work herself. She did love to travel and was a nature lover. Christine enjoyed visiting beaches and mountains and going places with her travel group. Christine was always involved in activities and loved to travel the world. Anyone that knew her knows that she was always a child when it snowed. She was very active with her traveling, yoga, square dancing, and daily walks.
She loved her Grandchildren. They remember how she praised them and corrected them. How they always felt loved when they were with her. How special she made them feel. She was generous with her time that she spent with her grandchildren and great Grandchildren. She gave them encouragement when they needed it and protected them when they needed it. She taught us all life lessons that we use to this day, including the power of prayer. I think she taught us all how to look at life from different perspectives.
Along with her parents, Christine is preceded in death by her brother, James Gravitt. She is survived by her sons, Russell (Sherri Mackenney) Boone; daughter, Karen (Larry) Finch; sister, Mary Jo Whitley; grandchildren, Sunny Boone, Casey (Heather) Boone, Jason (Amanda) Finch, Kourtney (Levi) Alday; Great Grandchildren - Ariel Dana, Caylee Boone, Collin Rediger, Claudia Rediger, McKenzie Alday, Addison Alday, Olivia Alday, Strickland Finch; and Great Great Grandchildren Kash Rediger, Harper Rediger.
