Colleen spent much of her adult life as a stay at home mother and wife. She became a parapro at Nicholson Elementary in the early years of its foundation. There she proceeded to make herself quite notorious to the staff and the children that attended. To her children, it seems like ‘EVERYONE’ knew Mrs. Haseltine. Colleen was one of the founding members at Mountain View United Methodist Church, where she contributed most of her time after she retired from being a parapro at Nicholson Elementary. She loved her church family dearly and did everything she could to help with every event she could.
She never met a stranger, and if you wanted a quick laugh from her, all you had to do was turn on a fart machine and she would laugh until she was red in the face. She was an amazing cook, even having some of her recipes in the church cookbook. The front and back yard of her home was always full of flowers and beautiful landscaping. Colleen was proud of her children and grandchildren, and loved being around them as much as she could. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Colleen has been a blessing here on this earth and we will all greatly miss her.
Colleen is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Philip Haseltine.
