Cora Payne Harrison, 96, of Piney Flats, TN, formerly of Acworth, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 1pm in Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. Reggie Andrews officiating.
A longtime Acworth resident, Mrs. Harrison was a member of Mt. Paran Church of God and was a homemaker while also being a Bridal Consultant with Riches, Saks, Neiman Marcus and Davidson’s. She was a very accomplished pianist. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 1997.
Cora is survived by her daughter Hilda and husband Bill Heidelberg of Piney Flats, TN; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 beginning at 10:30 am until 12:30 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Those who wish may make donations in memory of Cora to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org or by phone (800) 805-5856 in lieu of flowers.
