I remember all the times I visited as a child to your house in Columbus, GA. You daughter Donna would let me come over and play. You always had something good to eat and a smile on your face. You were a beautiful lady and a wonderful mother to your children. It is my pleasure and joy to have known you. I will see you again in Heaven.

Mama Dene,

You were always the light of the room. I’m going to miss you telling me stories, and us just able to laugh even if nobody else understood why. You had the most caring heart, and I will always hold our memories close to my heart. As I take on life, I hope to live like you. Dancing no matter what. I love you so much and I hope you’re dancing with everyone in heaven.

Aunt Dene was one of a kind!! I always loved being around her!! Always so classy and looking beautiful!! I remember when I graduated from business college Aunt Dene, Aunt Kate and MawMaw Tims took me to the beach to celebrate ♥️Those are some memories I will cherish forever!! We fished, ate a lot and even went out dancing!! They shared a lot of advise that I will always hold in my heart!! I miss them all so very much but I know they are rejoicing together and will be dancing forever♥️♥️

My Wonder Grandmother Mama Dene was a one of kind Ladie. Two phrases could describe her. Full of joy and full of life. I can't remember ever seeing her complain or not being happy. She really knew how to live. She just made everything fun. She was always there for everything in my life. God blessed me to have her in my life and for such a long time. Mama Dene you will be greatly missed!!! But you will never be forgotten!!! Until we meet again you will be upon our hearts. Love you so very much!!!!

Mama Dene you were one of the classiest brightest, and sweetest woman I had the pleasure of having in my life. I’m going to miss your beautiful soul, and how you were the life of the party. I will always treasure our times spent at the lake house during the summer. I will miss your spirit and all the love you poured out to everyone around you. You were one of the best people, and you truly left a legend in our family.
- love you much.

Mama Dene was the first person to teach me how to make an Egg McMuffin in a coffee mug. She also allowed me to run around in her golden house slippers which were hideous, but I loved them so much she wrapped them up one Christmas and regifted them to me along with her infamous “Christmas Sweatshirt.” Her coffee could make even a woman grow hair on their chest, but you were always AWAKE after drinking one of her cups. The most fondest moments of her was her strength and compassion for others. Her smile and laugh were so infectious that she never met a stranger. I could always count on receiving a kiss and compliment each and every time I saw her. She loved me like no other just as I did her and you couldn’t ask for a better grandmother to have in your life. Even my 4 year old (Grayson) will always have the fondest of memories with his Mama Dene.

Mama Dene until we meet again. I love you to the moon and back.

Love, Angela
