Reverend Danny Floyd Griffin of Taylorsville, Georgia was welcomed into heaven this Tuesday morning, June 23 after 73 years on this earth.

Born to the late Cecil and Lorene Griffin in Columbus, Georgia, Rev. Griffin was a known people person, with a talent and enthusiasm for energizing others. The effects of his quick wit, gregarious manner, and sense of humor was evident early in life as he was elected president of his Central High School class of 1965. After working for the Georgia Paper Mill, Rev. Griffin learned and served at Rhema Bible Training Center from 77 to 79. He continued to impact many lives through his ministry at Faith Christian Fellowship in Tulsa, OK and Faith Christian Fellowship in Moore, OK. He also founded and reached the world through Faith Bible Institute, Danny Griffin Ministries, and Faith Church of Kennesaw from 1987 and still active today. In addition to his eternal impact, Rev. Griffin was the founder and owner of multiple housing investment businesses still thriving today.

In his leisure time, Danny enjoyed being out in nature, hunting and fishing. He was content to spend this time with the trees and the Lord, but always welcomed the company of his family in his hobbies. Rev. Griffin was received in heaven by his daughter, Lara Griffin Webber.

Danny will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend, Gwen Farrar Griffin; two daughters, Dana (Travis) Bell, Sarah (Rev. Jeremy) Wallace; sister, Jan Austin of Phenix City, Al.; nine grandchildren, Jeramy, Joel, Janeesha, Jessica, Allison, Cody, Nate, Camber, Hannah and six great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Danny Griffin’s life will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home 11 am Friday, June 26, 2020. Rev. Jeremy Wallace officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 11 am. Those who wish may also join via FaceBook live

I am saddened to learn of Danny's death. I will always recall that unique half smile. Seems Danny was always a pleasure to be around. To me, Danny was surely a people person demonstrating care and concern for everyone. God Bless us all...Bill Blau, Evans/Augusta, GA

My heart cries and rejoices to hear of Bro. Danny's homegoing. I count it an honor to have known him as pastor, teacher and Holy Ghost Preaching Evangelist of God's Word that changed the lives of men and women all over the world. I believe some of those same people were waiting with Lara on Heaven's shore anticipating his grand arrival.
My love and prayers are with Dana, Sarah and Pastor Gwen that has been a great example of a Proverbs 31 wife and mother.
Love & Prayers,
Doris Smith
