David spent the majority of his adult life in New London, Connecticut, recently making his way to Georgia to be with his family. His working career was spent as an English teacher, a welder at Electric Boat, and also a Living Skills Instructor for Vista. In his spare time he could be found playing his guitar and his cello, watching t.v., or reading. He was an avid reader and had an extensive library which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed classic movies, comic books, and music. David dedicated five years of his life serving our country in the United States Navy. Though his career and hobbies were important and brought him great joy, David’s greatest joy came from being a dedicated husband, father and grandfather; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him, as well as the pastries industry.
David is survived by his loving wife Christine Mistron; daughter, Christina and her husband Jason of Acworth, Georgia; sister, Deborah Mistron, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; mother, Ruth Mistron, Barefoot Bay, FL; sister-in-laws, Josephine DaCosta and Mary Costa, New London, Connecticut; three grandchildren, Samantha, Anna, and Alex; Maximus the dog his furry companion as well as his two cats Baby and Delilah; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom he loved dearly.
A private celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
