Deanna R. Brown

Deanna Rosalind Brown, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Deanna was born on November 7, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter to the late Henry Lloyd and Guillermina McHenry and sister to Lydia (Lee) Winters.

Deanna went to Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, NY. She relocated to Marietta, GA in 1997.

Deanna married the love of her life, Jerry, on June 30, 1979. They were married for 38 years until Jerry passed. They were long-time members of Summit Baptist Church, often volunteering with their Sunday School program.

Deanna enjoyed dancing and watching movies, especially from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Along with her parents, Deanna is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Brown. Deanna leaves behind to carry on her legacy: her sister, Lydia (Lee) Winters; nieces, Jacqueline Winters-Allen (Scott), Shari Purdue (Jason), Maria Callahan (Neil), and Cathy Arroyo (Ariel); great-nieces and nephews, Allison Curry (Aaron), Brandon Purdue (Melody), and Caden; great-great-nephew, Adler Curry.

The visitation for Deanna will be held on Monday, May 11 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152, with the service to follow. Deanna will be laid to rest with her husband at Winkenhofer Memorial Park.
