Deanna Lynn Murphy

Our mother Deanna (pronounced Deana) Murphy sadly passed away On April 3rd, 2024. She was a wonderful mother that was always there when we needed her. She spent most of her time with her grandchildren who she loved deeply.

She was born on January 4, 1966 to Kenneth and Melva Sturm at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL. where her father was based when he was in the Air Force.

After graduation, Deana attended North Metro Tech for a business degree.

She had many friends that she kept in touch with over the years, friends that she grew up with while in school and her friends here in Ga. where she resided all of her life.

Her greatest gift was her 2 grandchildren Ryder Thomas, who is 5 years old, and Rowan Lynn, who is 3 years old. She spent all the time she could with them. She took them to the park to play and to see the ducks there and to feed them some pieces of bread. She went swimming with them last summer almost every day because she watched them while their mother Darla worked. She also took them shopping and they always wanted to stop at McDonalds and get a happy meal because there was always a toy in there too.

She was very close to her children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed, her face would always light up every time she saw them.

She is survived by her mother Melva Sturm, her son Dustin Murphy, and her daughter Darla Murphy, her grandson Ryder Thomas, and her granddaughter Rowan Lynn.

She was preceded in death by her, father Kenneth Sturm, and her grandparents, Melvin and Laura Davis.
