Diana Lynn Curry

Being a military child, she moved around with her family, often overseas. She obtained her final degree through Texas Tech University which allowed her to fulfill her dream of teaching.

Diana married the love of her life, Pat, on December 23, 1967, and in January 1969, had the first of their two daughters, Lynn. After her husband returned from Vietnam, they welcomed their second daughter, Catherine, in November 1972. Family was very important to her, and she worked hard to provide a stable home for her husband to return to and her girls to grow up in. Diana and Pat remained devoted to one another until their passing.

Due to marrying a servicemember, she held a variety of jobs before Pat retired from the military, whereupon she became a teacher for high school students for children from marginalized areas. She took great pride in her work and always felt it was a privilege to teach.

Traveling was one of her favorite passions, and along with her husband, they took advantage of his military assignments to see as much as possible. From Europe to North America, from the customized utility van her husband built for her to a motor home that served as their residence as they toured as far south as Key West, Florida to as far north as Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. During these travels, she never lost her love for math and crochet, completing sudoku puzzles and complex projects.

Along with her parents, Diana is preceded in death by her husband, Pat, and her grandson, John Jarrett.

Diana leaves behind the loving family she worked hard to support, with her children Lynn Curry and Catherine Jarrett, her sisters Patty Parker and Jeannie Egger, and grandchildren Lee Jarrett, Jacqueline Jarrett, and Brendan Curry.

A visitation will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, located at 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 3152, on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, to be followed by a graveside service at Green Lawn Cemetery at 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076 at 2:00 pm.
