Diane Amato-Dellinger

With profound sadness and deep love, we celebrate the life of Diane Amato-Dellinger, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on December 22, 1945, in New Haven, Connecticut, Diane was the cherished daughter of Pasquale and Concetta DeLuca and the youngest of ten children.

Diane lived a life defined by love, hard work, compassion, patience, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was an extraordinary daughter, a loving mother, a devoted wife, a caring sister and aunt, and a loyal friend whose kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a gentle and thoughtful way of caring for others, always willing to offer her time, support, and love to those around her.

Diane was a devoted mother to her two children, Matthew and Gina Amato, whom she loved dearly. Her greatest joy and pride came from watching her children grow, build their lives, and find happiness. The love, strength, compassion, and values she instilled in them will continue through them and the lives they touch.

In 1992, Diane married Donald Dellinger, the love of her life. Donald was a devoted husband who preceded her in passing. Diane carried his memory and their love with her throughout the years. She now reunites with Donald, and they will be laid to rest together at Arlington National Cemetery, where they can be together once again.

Diane had many simple joys that brought happiness to her life. She was a dedicated football fan and especially loved cheering for her local team, the Atlanta Falcons. She also had an extraordinary love for animals.

Diane is survived by her beloved children and their spouses, Gina (Craig Jones) Amato and Matthew (Megan Davies) Amato; and her sisters, Sandy (Joseph) Kinnan and Beverly MaGee, along with extended family and many dear friends who will forever miss her.

She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
