Mr. Donald Keith Merchant age 90 of Dallas, GA died Wednesday, February 22, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held 2 pm Friday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Rev. Joe Mauthe officiating. Friends and family may visit from 1 pm- 2 pm.
Born in Uvilla, WV. Mr. Merchant was the Chief of Restoration for the Air & Space Museum at the Smithsonian. Having a long work career, he worked at Fairchild Industries and for Airpax where he held several patents. He was the owner of Data Merchant in Cambridge, MD and was a computer instructor at Dorchester Community College. Owner & Publisher of Antique Aircraft Gazette special interest paper. His hobbies included Oil Painting, Baking and being politically active in Dorchester County. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Talbert Merchant.and oldest son J. Keith Merchant.
Survivors –
3 daughters – Shirley Pike of Dallas, GA; Donna Anderson of Boonsboro, MD; Robin Spickler of Hagerstown, MD.
1 son - David M. Merchant of Boonsboro, MD.
Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held in Hagerstown, MD. April 28, 2012 at St.John's Episcopal Church.
