Cathy -- I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  I hope you can be comforted with the thoughts and memories of your life together, and know that we are all reunited in God's Kingdom of Heaven.  My prayers are with you.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to know Ed that well.  He and Cathy haven't been our neighbors for very long.  I do know that Ed had such a big heart.  After only having met him a few times chatting outside he told me to let him know if I needed any help.  Not too much later he told me that my A/C sounded funny and he and Bill looked at it for me.  After ordering the parts Ed fixed the unit for me, even taking extra time to level it.  
He always had a friendly smile for my 2 little girls who loved seeing him ride home on his motorcycle with the "cool lights".  
He came over to chat while he was putting up the Christmas lights and gave me a break from my work and a lesson on water heaters.  The girls and I have loved seeing those lights and the puppies this Christmas season.  Sometimes we stand outside to watch the colors change.  We will miss him and the chance to know him better.

   I so wanted a little brother growing up and finally 7 years later Eddie was born!
My mother and I loved him so much and spoiled him everyway we could. His father was tough on him but loved him in his own way. He was proud of Eddie and bragged about his accomplishments.
   Then along came Cathy, his loving and caring wife, who also spoiled and loved Eddie. She worked hard with him throughout everything and tried to help him achieve their goals in life. At times they acted like 2 little kids enjoying life together.
   He will be greatly missed by us all. I know God has a purpose for him and someday we will all be together again.

Cathy, I have been sitting here trying to think of something to say, and it came to me about Eddie being a great cook. I remember him making this fruit salad that we call the "purple stuff". It was so good that now we have it for all the Holidays. He taught me to cook with an open mind. Thanks Eddie for all the memories, you will be missed. I will miss you very, very much. Cathy I will be there when you need me, you can call me anytime. My prayers are with you always.

Aunt Cathy, I will always remember when you and Uncle Eddie were moving to Laguna Hills and Uncle Eddie and I were in his little truck bringing the hot tube to the new house. We got caught in those Santa Ana winds and we  were blowin all over the road. We were both scared that day. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

          Ed will be dearly missed. His passing has formed a void in our office & division which can never be filled. I have known Ed and his entrie family his whole life. When I first moved to California in 1981 we shared an apartment together. Ed had a 1979 Ford Bronco that we would go 4 wheeling in. One night we took it up to Azuza Canyon, Ed wanted to take across the river to this island with the other 4 wheelers. I told him I did not think it was a good idea, but off we went, about 10 feet from the shore the Bronco got hung up on a big rock and he stalled it out. We sat in the dark in the freezing mountain fed river sitting on the top of the seats as the river flowed through the truck. Before we started I told him I would not get out in the water, so he climded out onto the hood and down into the freezing water, he went to shore and got a chain and came back and hooked it to the hooks on the front bumper, then the trucks on shore pulled, off came the bumper, hooks and all and the truck sat. I would open the door from time to time to let the water out. Meanwhile Ed went back to shore and got the chain and this time he went under the truck and hooked to the axle. This time 4 trucks managed to pull us to shore. On dry land we opened the doors and the water poored out like you see in the movies. The truck actually started and we got home. The next day you took off the top and took out the carpet and seats to let the warm Southern California sun dry it out, a little while later it rained. Everyone called his Bronco the "Boat" after that. 
   One more story about Ed and I, he dated my sister Cathy, no one told me, after he asked her to marry him he came home and stood in my bedroom doorway ready to run and told me the news, I started laughing, could not believe those two were gewtting married. It was a good decision, it lasted for 28 years and they made each other happy. 
   I will miss you Ed.
