Dootsie was born on October 3, 1936 in Macon, Ga to JT and Grace (Newsom) Marshall. She graduated from Miller HS, Auburn University and received a Master’s degree from the University Georgia, and Taught kids with Learning Disabilities for 40 years. On August 10, 1957 she married Billy. They raised their two sons.
Dootsie had a passion for Christ. She loved to share her faith whenever the opportunity arised. She Loved Educating children. Shopping for others and sharing with all around her Love of Christ. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Dootsie was preceded in death by her father, JT Marshall Sr, and mother, Grace. She is survived by her Husband Billy, her two children Russell and Kevin, her brother JT Marshall, Grandchildren, Great grandchildren and niece and nephews.
The family of Mrs. Kitchens will receive friends for a visitation from 12 o’clock p.m. until 1 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, February 9th,2019 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 9th,2019 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on 2950 North Cobb Pkwy Kennesaw, Ga. 30152 at 1 o’clock p.m. Dootsie will then go to her final resting place immediately following the service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park. Kennesaw, Ga. 30152 at 1 o’clock p.m.
