Elizabeth "Bettie" Tait Wilson, age 96, passed away peacefully at home in Kennesaw, GA. Born to parents Elizabeth and Lacy Tait in Columbia, South Carolina, she grew up in Winter Haven, Florida and called Cobb County home for over seventy years.
She was a retired secretary from the Marietta City Schools. She enjoyed traveling, leading many tours with the Cobb Travel Club, and spending time quilting for her friends and family.
The part of Bettie's life she enjoyed most was her family. She was married to her husband, Jim, for 45 loving years. They traveled together, danced with the StarShooters Square Dancers and attended John Knox Presbyterian Church in Marietta.
Bettie is preceded in death by her husband Jim, her son Andy and her grandson Christopher McDaniel. She is survived by her daughters Daryl Miller (Skip), Cathy Doughton (Gary), and Linda McDaniel, six grandchildren, and multiple great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, on November 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the Chapel Mausoleum in Pine Ridge Memorial Park at 2:00 PM.
