Ellen Marie Hood

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Blain Doyle Hood; parents, Holmes Calloway and Nannie Lou Brown Guess; sisters, Maurine Stover, Emma Jo Gable, Ruth Ship, Louise Russell; brothers, Howard Guess, H. C. Guess and a great grandson, Jacob Halbrooks.

Survived by her children, son, Doyle and Connie Hood; daughters, Mary Ellen Atkins, Carol and James Henson, Joan and Jim Burell; sisters, Mary Waits, Karleen Baldwin; 7 grandchildren, Gay Prichett, Joy Peppers, Benny Atkins, Robby Atkins, Jo Ann Nations, Bobbie Nations, Rita Nations; 10 great grandchildren, Tiffany Pickett, Amy Smith, Janey Rosalas, Dana Prichett, Abby Atkins, Ellie Atkins, Nora Atkins, Brittany Nations, David Nations, Brandon Nations; 6 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 28 at 2 PM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ledbetter officiating.

Interment will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Acworth.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 5 until 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
