Emmett is survived by his wife of 41 years Faye Caldwell; son Eric Caldwell (Hope); son Alan Caldwell (Cheryl); and daughter Jennifer Brownlee (Phil); sister Anita Parker (John); stepdaughter Lori Chastain (David), stepdaughter Jill Carter (Doug), grandson David Chastain (Stephanie), granddaughter Megan Harris (Chad), grandson Jason Chastain (Natalya), granddaughter Victoria Carter, granddaughter Erin Brownlee, granddaughter Kate Lessin (Ryan), 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Emmett worked as an Aeronautical Engineer with Lockheed Martin for many years and retired in 1988. Once retired from Lockheed, Emmett continued working as an Engineer with Tennessee based Microcraft for an additional 10 years. Emmett was the Program Manager responsible for the design model used to create the F-22. Even though busy with his career, Emmett found time to enjoy his hobbies such as metal detecting, fishing, coin collecting, traveling in his motor home, and spending time at his beach house in St. Augustine, FL.
A public visitation for Emmett will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A private family service will occur Monday, January 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm. A private burial will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park, Kennesaw, Georgia.
