Gene is survived by his children: son, Bryan McGarity (Pam) of Dallas, Georgia; son, Darin McGarity; his daughter, Randi McGarity of Acworth, Georgia; son, Johnny Eason (Summer) of Cartersville, Georgia; and son, Jeff Eason (Robin) of Fitzgerald, Georgia; his grandchildren, Alexis, Brittany, Alyssa, Madison, Macy, Blake, Jessica, Jordan, Jenna, Johnny Jr., Lane, Vincent, Kyri, Kwani; and his eight great grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Ranow McGarity; his father William Glenn McGarity and his mother Evelyn Virginia Brooks McGarity.
Private services will be held at a later date.
