Freddie Harold Kirk

Freddie Harold Kirk, age 66 of Acworth passed on March 26, 2013. Mr. Kirk was born in Rockmart, GA. to Ann Kirk and the late Harold Kirk. His family moved to DeKalb in 1951 where he attended Cross Keys High School and graduated class of 1965. In 1966 he joined the US Air Force, where he earned the title Munitions Specialist Supervisor and the rank of Sergeant E-4. Freddie married Alison in 1968, while stationed in England at the Welford Air Force Base and relocated to Cobb in 1974. He enjoyed his time working and coaching with Adams Park Baseball in Kennesaw. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Harold Kirk. He is survived by his wife, Alison Kirk; mother, Ann Kirk; daughter, Nicola Kirk-Bunn; son, Sean and wife Candice Kirk; sisters Jean and husband Joe Gunnells, Dianne and husband Mark Whittington; grandchildren, Justin Alexander, Andrew Bunn, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends March 30, 2013 from 12pm until 2pm at the funeral home.
