Doreen and Family,
What a shock to hear of Gary's passing. Our sincerest sympathies in your time of sorrow and we are sorry for your loss. Gary touched many people and was an influence in my life over the many years we worked together in the crime lab. His wry sense of humor and easy going manner made it easier to work in often difficult circumstances. He was a unique individual and will be missed by his friends and colleagues. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Doreen, family all. my sincere condolences and sympathy on Gary's passing. I know he fought a hard battle for several years. A quite man, a good leader and perfectionist in all he did. The high standards he brought to the Onondaga Co. Sheriff's Office will live on. May all find peace and comfort during this very difficult time.

Dear Doreen and Family, I am very sorry for your loss. I was in the police academy with Gary, I always liked Gary and did several projects with him in the Sheriff's Dept. I remember the great parties he used to have on Crooked Lake. After one of the OCSPA meetings, I found out he moved to Georgia and got his number. I had a conversation with him and he also invited me to visit him when down in Georgia but unfortunately never made it down there. He will be missed. May God help you through this time of loss. Sincerely, Steve Kenyon

Gary Jones, my Law Enforcement Colleague, a P.B.A. Organizer, a supervisor, a mentor, a leader, a confidant, a friend who guided me through tough personal times and some pretty nasty Crime Scenes too.
Gary was not a common man. He was a person of strength, patience, vision, humor and exhibited ethics that were beyond reproach. He loved telling stories about his daughters as they grew to become ladies and spoke often of his fortune in meeting Doreen.
So, Doreen & girls, Corinne and I will be offering a "Pretzel Toast" to the memory of a life well lived. Thank you friend for everything.

I met Gary many many years ago at the Sheriff's Dept in Onondaga county NY. We have been friends ever since. Gary was a kind, soft spoken man and a wonderful husband and father to my friend, his wife Doreen and their two daughters. I never heard a bad word about him from anyone. Gary had many friends and I'm sure they would agree with everything I have said.
The world was a better place because of Gary and I am glad I was part of his life. Until we meet again Gary ❤️
