Gerald L Janesek, age 80, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. He was born on November 22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Louis and Radmilla Janesek. Gerald served in the Navy for four years as a message coder on a submarine during the Cold War. He was an American History buff and was very proud of his country. Gerald enjoyed woodworking, traveling with his wife, shooting guns, smoking cigars, and watching television. He was also a very successful businessman and owned his own company called Starline Manufacturing, where he excelled at negotiating and running a business. Gerald was also a huge Florida Gators fan and would always root for his favorite team. He never met a stranger and made a new friend everywhere he went. Most of all Gerald loved his family and he would always put them first. Gerald was a loving son, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Gerald is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Jensen, his brother, Louis Gerald Janesek, his sister, Pamela Schwier (Robert), his granddaughter Bridget Jensen, and his niece Angie Hodorowski (Michael).
Gerald is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jeane Janesek.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to The Wounded Warriors Project in Gerald’s name.
A visitation for Gerald will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church. His service will occur Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church in Atlanta. The burial will occur at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
