Gerri Schwartz

Gerri was an amazing woman who loved animals. She has owned and maintained her own business since 1991 and had grown it into a successful and powerful company. Almost everyone in the property management field knows of Gerri and says she was one of the best in the business. Gerri was a breast cancer survivor and in July of 2015, had discovered cancer again. Her family was devastated, but remained positive with her. It was found that the cancer had gone into her lymph nodes and had already metastasized to other parts of the body. It is a struggle however Gerri didn't let it bother her. Every day she would get into work and not stop 'till she was done.

Unfortunately the cancer wasn't as easy to get rid of as before. After many rounds of chemo and treatment, it was determined that it wouldn't be going away. Saint Joseph's Hospital and Emory did all they could for her and had given her more hope than any other place. Gerri moved to Heritage Hospice Center in Marietta, Georgia to rest comfortably. Even in hospice, Gerri received many calls and visits from family and friends.

She is survived by her beautiful daughter, Elysia Bonner; an amazing son in law, Heath Bonner; and two charismatic granddaughters, Avery and Maddie.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 12:00 pm in the funeral home's chapel with Pastor Scotty Davis officiating.
