I know words are inadequate in situations like this, just know  that we have a kind and loving father who cares and will listen if you call on him.

Melissa and family, I send out my deepest thoughts and prayers to you. Greg was a wonderful, incredibly witty, smart man who was defined by his love for family and also, as I kew him, through his quest for truth and what was right. Greg and I worked together closely for many years - many long hours - at The Daily Reflector in Greenville. We shared many ideas and thoughts, and I truly respected him in so many ways. Whether it was eating lunch at the CNN center or talking about music and album covers, I enjoyed my time with Greg.
  He was always down to earth and never took anything for granted.

Greg was a good guy whom I had the pleasure of working with for eight years. My thoughts are with his family and his many friends.

I had a great time catching up with Greg on Facebook - after knowing him when we were in Middle School and High School together.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Greg was a genuinely nice man, who always seemed to have a kind or funny thought to share with those around him. I was lucky to get to know him during my time at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and we stayed in touch after I left the paper. I will truly miss corresponding with him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.

Oh my GOD! Adieu my friend, May your soul rest in perfect peace. And to your family may God give then the fortitude to bear the loss.

Greg was a great guy and a snappy dresser!

I remember that he always talked about his kids and that he was so proud of them and their accomplishments.

He was an Apple fanboy at heart and it was fun to talk with him about the latest speculations and rumors.

At work, we used to call him the machine, because every week he would produce ALL of the newspaper pages that COXnet put out that not only went to all of the Cox Newspapers, but many other papers across the country. He was especially fond of the doing the NASCAR pages and I recall that he was thrilled to go "on assignment" to the Atlanta NASCAR race, going down to Pit Road to make photos of all the drivers to use throughout the season.

In addition to those pages, he also designed and laid out COXnet and Cox Newspapers's monthly newsletter -- something that even the corporate folks did not do!

Greg, we'll all miss you!

I will always carry the memories of my friendship with Greg- the many fine times we had at Ohio State and afterwards, having him in my wedding, and all our correspondence through the years as we both have raised families.  Greg is one of the nicest, kindest people I've ever known.  I'm grateful I had the chance to know him and become best friends.  He will truly be missed.  

My thoughts and prayers are with you all through this difficult time, and even though I am sad, am grateful for the time God gave all of us with Greg and all the ways, in that time, that Greg was able to touch my life and so many others.
