Gwen Willis Wilbur

Gwen Wilbur, 81, of Dallas, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Funeral is Saturday, February 7, 1pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Rev. Pat Williams officiating and burial to follow at Cheatham Hill Cemetery in Marietta. Mrs. Wilbur was preceded in death by her husband – Tommy Wilbur and her son – Greg Wilbur. She and Tommy ran Wilbur’s Garage in Acworth, along with her son Greg, for 53 years. Gwen also drove a school bus 17 years for Cobb County School System. Gwen was a member of Macland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was an active member for many years. Her hobbies were few but she loved to garden and her dogs. Mrs. Wilbur will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son – Jeff Wilbur of Acworth, daughter – Tricia Floyd of Gainesville, daughter in law – Tina Wilbur of Dallas, sister – Patricia Robinson of Blairsville, 6 grandchildren – Brandon Wilbur, Marley Wilbur, Cody Wilbur, Olivia Wilbur, Abby Wilbur, Sadie Floyd, and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 9pm and on Saturday beginning at 11am.
