A native of Flat Lick, KY, Mrs. Gambrel was longtime member of Springfield Baptist Church in Bimble, KY. She retired from American
Greetings where she had worked for many years as an Inspector and Trainer.
Helen’s love for nature could always be seen by her beautiful flower gardens. Helen had a great compassion for animals. Her last adoption was a cat named Lucy. Her love animals could be seen in care she give cat Lucy, who was loyal to her until passing. Helen also loved to prepare meals, sew and make lovely quilts for husband and children. In December 2013, Mrs. Gambrel’s husband, Virgil, preceded her in death.
Helen is survived by her children - Ralph Gambrel of Ballground, Sharon Peddicord of Kennesaw, Marsha Phipps of Kennesaw and Linda cook of Rockmart. There are also five Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild that survive Mrs. Gambrel. She will dearly missed.
