Helen June Musick

June was born in Gate City, Virginia and spent most of her life living in Bristol, Tennessee, before moving to Kennesaw, GA in 2023 to be closer to family.

June was the daughter of Richard P. Fleenor and Rebecca Holt Fleenor. June graduated from Valley Institute and went on to attend Virginia Interment College.

She worked for many years at United Companies Home Mortgage.

June met the love of her life, Dan Musick, while attending school; she was a cheerleader and he was a basketball player. The marriage resulted in the birth of two children, Dan R. Musick and Melanie D. Musick, which she loved with her whole heart.

June was a long-time member of Fellowship Chapel Church in Bristol, VA.

June had many hobbies she enjoyed. She played the piano and enjoyed music of all kinds. Line dancing was one of her joys for many years.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Dan Musick, her son, Dan R. Musick, parents Richard Fleenor and Rebecca Holt Fleenor, and sisters Reba Stophel and Ann Torbett.

June is survived by her daughter, Melanie Musick, daughter-in-law Juanita Musick, three grandsons Alex Musick, Nathan Musick, and Dima Musick, brother-in-laws Harold Stophel and Phil Torbett, a host of nieces and nephews, special friends Donna Nevils, Pam Moore, and Gladys Murray, special neighbors Laurie Icenhour and Perry Tibbetts.

Funeral services will take place at Weaver Chapel in Bristol, Tennessee.
