

Henry was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend of his community in Acworth. He is survived by his spouse, Ann Wills-Watson; his sons Daron Watson (Stephanie) and Steve Mauldin; daughters Sandy Hartman (Terry), Cathy Grizzle and Debbie Appling; along with 15 grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Watson, mother Mary Watson (Channell) and his first wife, Terri Watson (Hendrix).
Henry served in the Army, attaining the rank of SP4 and was stationed in Korea and the Pentagon. Henry was a proud and dedicated employee at General Motors in Doraville, where he worked 36 years before retiring in 2005. Church and Family were the most important aspects of his life. Henry cherished the time he spent being involved with church over the years. He held many positions such as: Sunday School Director, Royal Ambassador Leader and many other responsibilities within the church. Henry loved for his grandchildren to come by and visit when time permitted.
He had a passion for Georgia Bulldogs football and also enjoyed watching the Braves and Falcons. Henry enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, Nashville and to South Georgia to visit with family. Henry often worked around his home, making additions. In his younger years he loved to handcraft knives, gifting them to friends and family.
A memorial service is planned for January 10, 2026 at 2 pm at Hickory Grove Baptist, located at 2862 Hickory Grove Rd. in Acworth.
