

Herman William Wolter, 87, passed away August 29, 2016 in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Herman was born to Edwin and Era Wolter on September 19, 1928 in Hazel Park, Michigan. He graduated from Bob Jones University and received a Master’s in Education from Detroit University. Herman climbed the ladder in the education system from teacher to administrator over the years. Not only did he serve as a leader in molding the minds of our youth and broadening the horizons of all he educated. He also served our great nation in the Korean War. In 1971 Herman and his family moved to Marietta where he worked for Youth for Christ and where they attended the First Baptist Church of Atlanta for many years before attending Kennesaw First Baptist Church. Herman is survived by his beautiful wife of 64 years, Alice (Bee) Wolter. He also leaves behind his one daughter, Krista (Dane) Skelton; two sons, Rudy (Jan) Wolter and Fredric (Melissa) Wolter; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Era Wolter; his sisters, Martha and Margaret. The family will be receiving friends Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 11am-12pm at Kennesaw First Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at 12pm.
