After Irene married the love of her life, David Busigo Sr., the two made their way to the United States and settled in New York. Irene worked as a Paraprofessional for the New York School System while raising their two children. Eventually Irene and her family made their way to Georgia where they would remain. She was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church in Marietta. Irene enjoyed dancing with her husband, music, and spending time with her family. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents, Irene is preceded in passing by seven siblings. She is survived by her husband of seventy years, David Busigo Sr.; two children, David Busigo Jr., wife Cristina, of Arlington, Virginia and Brenda Martinez, husband Miquel of Dallas, GA; two siblings, Thomas Cruz and Concepion Quinones; five grandchildren, Alyssa Martinez, Jennifer Martinez, Mariella Busigo, Augustus Busigo, and Marlena Busigo; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Irene Busigo will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the service hour on Sunday, May 27, 2018.
The following gentlemen have been requested by the family to serve as pallbearers, Victor Cruz, Charlie Cruz, Danny Vallejo, Ralph Perez, Marc Terc, Eddie Cruz, Pedro Sanchez, and Will Ortiz.
