Jack met the "love of his life", Mimi, and they were married for 71 wonderful and blessed years. Together, they built a life of love and made many memories while nurturing their three children.
Jack had a love for Jesus and his family like no other. He spent two years in the United States Army and returned home to work as a mechanic for many years. Jack was known for having a servant's heart, and was a deacon at several different churches for most of his life. He helped to build many churches and fellowship halls in the area. He was a successful entrepreneur, owning Acme Lumber Company, building houses, and served on the board of directors at a local bank.
Jack enjoyed singing about Jesus, watching sports, boating, fishing, water skiing, snow skiing and he loved his experiences of snowmobiling and jet skiing. He lived his life to the fullest and built a mountain home in Sky Valley GA, where they spent a lot of time with family and friends. While all of these activities brought him much happiness, nothing put a smile on his face like spending time with his grandchildren. Jack loved his family with all that was within him and worked hard to provide for them. Jack was a devoted and the most loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Jack is survived by wife, Mimi Cantrell Rickman, daughter Cindy Fuglio (Marc), sons Don Rickman (Kathy), Greg Rickman (Brenda), brothers Gene Rickman, Paul Rickman (Barbara) and sister-in-laws Linda Rickman and Janie Rickman, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
