Jackie Cater, 64, of Acworth, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 15, at Acworth First Baptist Church with Dr. David Joiner officiating beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow at Mosley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
Mrs. Cater has lived in Acworth for the past 16 years and was a very passionate gardener. She was also an active member of Acworth First Baptist Church, doing volunteer work in the food pantry and kitchen services. Mrs. Cater was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Cater.
Those who survive Mrs. Cater are her husband Roger Cater of Acworth; her daughter Kim and her husband Michael Metzler of Smyrna; brothers Bill Finney of Warner Robins, Bud Finney of Walhalla,SC, Harold Finney of Hampton, Ga, and Pete Finney of Texas.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 14, from 7pm-9pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. In lieu of flowers donations have been requested to be made to the Acworth First Baptist Church Kitchen Fund.
