Jacqueline "Jacque" P. Dean

Jacqueline Parish Dean, of Acworth, Georgia departed this life on Sunday, November 15, 2020 in her 96th year after a long and happy life. Jacque was born February 11, 1924 in Atlanta, Georgia. Those who will cherish Jacque's memories are her husband of 78 years, William Dean; son Patrick Dean (Karen); daughter Linda Beyerle Dennis (Patrick); son-in-law Bill Beyerle; sister Janelle Parish; grandson Brian Beyerle (Michelle), grandson Beau Beyerle (Jessica Godisak) granddaughter Chloe Dean, granddaughter Kayla Dean (Matt Viton); great grandchildren Laurie Beth Beyerle, Jacque Beyerle, Evie Beyerle, Brianna Beyerle, Cale Beyerle, Sabin Beyerle and Anton Beyerle. Jacque was “Aunt Jack” to her many nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren.

She was the daughter of Collin D. and Allene Parker Parish and had five siblings, Juhn, Larry, Harry, Colleen and Janelle. She attended Atlanta Public Schools and was a graduate of Commercial High School in downtown Atlanta. Jacque was a war bride, married to Bill in 1942. She followed her soldier husband all the way to Louisiana until he was deployed to the Pacific in January, 1944.

Jacque was very family oriented, a true homemaker and a stay at home Mother until her children were in high school. She and Bill provided a loving home for their family where extended family and friends were always welcome. In the sixties, she was employed by DeKalb County Board of Education at Gordon High School as Secretary to the Principal and Guidance Counselors. Home and Family gave her the most joy. Jacque was an accomplished artist and also enjoyed crafts, sewing and needlework. Her other hobbies were walking, reading, baking cookies and cakes for her family.

She was of the Christian faith and active in the Methodist Church all of her adult life. She taught children’s Sunday school and Vacation Bible School at Ousley UMC, adult Sunday classes at Hollydale UMC and was a member of Acworth UMC and Charlotte McClure Sunday School class since 1986; she also served as a rotating Sunday school teacher and a member the Celebration singers Jacque’s two grandsons and two granddaughters brought her great joy, she always said being with any of my grandchildren were “some of the best times of my life.”

A family only celebration of life and memorial service for Jacqueline will be held Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:00 am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. The service will be live streamed. Following the celebration of life and memorial service there will be an immediate family only burial, 3:00 pm at Georgia National Cemetery. All CDC recommendations concerning Covid-19 will be followed by the funeral home and mask will be required. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jacque's memory may be made to Must Ministries at mustministries.org.
