I personally did not know Jake, but he and my son were very good friends for a long time. To see how this impacted my son, I know that Jake was a really special friend and he will be missed. When he came home from the service, I could tell his heart was broken. God Bless Jake's family at this most difficult time. He sounds like such a wonderful and amazing young man. I wish I would have known him. It breaks my heart as well even though I did not know Jake personally. We are sincerely so sorry for your loss. God Bless and keep you all in his care. This man Jake; I love you brother, so does everyone who ever met you. Your everybody's kind of guy. This dude abides. Since young we were always inseparable, our personalities were a lot alike. Had lots of crazy memories, nothing as crazy as this one. We got along better than my brother and I. Hank could probably say the same about Jake and him. From age 12 talking to each other exchanging dreams and aspirations. To comparing those same ones at age 20, alot happen in between so much happiness and sadness. After losing both parents; It was just starting to get better for him. He worked like a mad man there was no job he didn't put all his effort and heart into, from landscape/hardscape to plumbing and electrical. Jake was smart he saved his money he just got his own place before that he got a truck so he can get around on his own. You never had to tell Jake what to do in life he always was making moves and continuing to better him self. You and your sister are so strong your love for each other and cooperation through really bad times shows what the power of family can do. Your were Sadie's only family member left and it's so confusing why you? After all that's been done, why? Jake was the kind of guy you thought his kids will grow up with yours. This hurts bad man, we really need you in our lives it's so hard to accept your gone. I talked to you nearly every day whenever I moved away, you were a giant influence on me and my life Jake. You still are too. Everyone will forever be affected and we always will remember you brother. This could go on and on but some stories are best said from the ones who felt his wonderful presence in that moment. Cheers mate, and rest easy Jake Horne. Buck Godsey

Jake was my cousin but a brother to me we grew up together we had so many great and funny memories together. Jake had the best glow and energy about him. He would make anyone laugh and make the best out of everything. He was the hardest worker at any job and would give you the shirt on his back if you needed it. It hurts to know that you are gone and you will always be missed.rest in peace jakey -hank godsey

Jake, finding the words to write this is impossible, there just aren't enough to describe what you meant to me. Irregardless of how sad, mad, or overall just upset I was, you were always there with the right thing to say to make me laugh and cheer me up. I'm sorry I could never do the same for you. I still expect a phone call from you asking what the move is this weekend. All of our outings won't be the same without you. I'll always remember working with you, waking up at 8 only for you and your dad to show up at noon. Moving to California with Buck and Hank, going to the beach, hiking the mountains, beer pong, and blasting Metallica and ACDC every morning before work. Even though you're gone, I'm going to do my best to live for you. Peace out, girl scout ✌️❤️ Zack Godsey
