Jamee Leigh Griffith, age 48, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, with her loved ones by her side. Jamee was born June 14, 1972 in Charleston, West Virginia to Beverly and Clint Sanney.
Jamee is survived by her son, Dylan, and daughters, Emma, Maggie, and Ella; her former spouse, Chet; her loving parents, Beverly and Clint Sanney; her twin sister and brother-in-law, Amee and Mark Hlasnicek; nieces and nephew, Sawyer and wife, Alexandra; Hannah and husband, John Cruz; and Addison. Jamee is now reunited with her labrador best friend, Lacy. She is in a place void of pain and suffering, watching over her children, knowing she’ll see them again.
Jamee had a fulfilling childhood, growing up in Hurricane, WV, where she was raised of Baptist faith. She moved to Georgia shortly after the birth of her fourth child to be closer to her sister, and her parents soon followed. She pursued a career of helping others as an X-Ray technician, working largely in pediatric clinics with children. She was very patriotic and took pride in her family’s military service; her father, son, nephew, and brother-in-law. Jamee was diagnosed with ALS almost 3 years ago. Her optimistic outlook on life kept her going, surpassing the normal statistics of her disease. She was a fighter, not for herself, but for her family; a truly selfless woman; a giver, not a taker. She has made a lasting impact on anyone that has had the privilege of calling her a friend. Her proudest moments, greatest accomplishments, and most cherished title is that of being a Mother to her spoiled kids.
A visitation for Jamee will be held Saturday, January 30th, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152, followed by a celebration of life and memorial service at 4:00 pm.
