I was so shocked & saddened to learn today of Darran's passing. We were friends at Georgia Southern and I will always have such fond memories of him. We were able to share the distinction of being the "mature" students in many of our classes. 
To Carla and the rest of Darran's family, may the Lord comfort you today and in the days still to come. Rest in Peace, Darran, my friend.

 I have known Darran Cochran for as long as I can remember.  The Cochrans have been close friends with my family since before I was born.  I remember teaching Darren how to ride a bicycle and going on vacations when we were all young.  I will miss Darran...his smile...his positive attitude and his loving nature.  My heartfelt sympathies go out to Carla and all the children.  It is so difficult for us to ever make since of such tragedy so we must draw on the strength that comes from knowing that Darran is with our Lord and we again will be restored with him and all rejoice together.

You were my childhood best friend and shadow.  If you saw one of us, the other was right there, side by side.
