James N. Coffey

James Nolan Coffey, age 85, of Marietta died Friday, January 11, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Rev. Mike Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw.

Born in Ellijay, GA, Mr. Coffey was owner of multiple businesses in Cobb County, the most recent being Cobb County Auto Sales since 1986. He was a member of the American Legion Post 29 in Marietta and a past member of the Marietta Elks Lodge . He was also a member of Woodstock First Baptist Church. Mr. Coffey was a US Navy Veteran, serving during World War II. He was an avid golfer and his hobbies included gardening, fishing and deer hunting. He is predeceased by his sister, Venice Kinter and brother, Gene Coffey.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Coffey of Marietta; daughters Sonja Hines and husband Benny of Kennesaw and Alicia Coffey of Kennesaw; brother Johnny Coffey and wife Charleen of North Port, FL and Sister Ruth Harrison of Roswell; two grandsons Christopher and Connor Austin.

The family will receive friends 12:00pm to 2:00pm Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Heritage Hospice.
