He was a native of Cobb Co. and was retired from Cobb EMC. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Deavers.
He is survived by his brothers, Luther Deavers, John Deavers; sisters, Louella Stephens, Idell Rhodes, Mary Lee Mulkey and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday June 18 at 2 PM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Pastors Harold Weatherford and Roy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Greers Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
