Jimi was born January 5, 1969, in Salina, Kansas to Jeanne Shanahan Lee and the late James Otis Lee. Jimi graduated from Hammond (Indiana) High School and moved to Marietta, Georgia in 1987. Here he met the love of his life, Phoebe Ann Holland, whom he married Oct. 9, 1999. Jimi was a Cobb County Water inspector for 17 years.

In addition to his mother, wife, and daughters, Jimi is survived by his brother, Jason and wife Sandra D. Jimi leaves behind aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors—too many to name—who share memories of his sense of humor, pursuit of adventure, and devotion to his extended families. Jimi’s mother-in-law, Brenda King Holland, died in 2000.

His endless adventures included riding his Harley, camping, scuba diving, beach trips with his family, skiing in Colorado, and vacationing in Europe. He always had a good time with his extended family and friends. He was devoted to his girls and was always available whenever anyone needed help—whether they asked or not.

I met Jimi a few times through Peobe and he was smiling, kind, and full of fun. It was sad to know that he suffered and has gone so soon. My heart goes out to Peobe and her family. I send my love and deepest condolences and wish you strength and some measure of peace.

I didn't know Jimi very well. He and Phobe were friends with my daughter and son-in-law and I went to stay at their house one time to keep their dog while they were out of town and their girls were young. They had a beautiful place. Pheobe keep you spirit up for you and the girls. I know it will be so hard for you.

Where do I begin...so many memories with Jimi, Peobe and the family over the last 30 years. From countless vacations trips to the beach, lake parties (even though he thought lakes were gross and rarely got in the water), heavy metal concerts, shooting rockets, late night bicycle rides for signs, fireworks gone wrong to sharing all the highs and lows in life over many a brewskis. Jimi definitely lived an authentic life and was truly a free spirit born to be wild! Jimi shared a special bond with my boys as well. From very early on he started calling my boys Jake and Elwood (which is Jesse) but Jimi always called him Elwood. My boys even dressed as The Blues Brothers for Halloween once. The Blues Brothers will forever remind me of Jimi. Peace Out and Rock On!!!! Love, hugs and strength to the family as you navigate this chapter in life. Many condolences, Byron, Chris, Jake and Elwood.

JIMMAAAAY, I love you brother, you’re going to be missed so much. 🍻All the concerts, vacations, visiting you at your campsite with your family . I’m at a loss for words. No one will ever replace you in my life ,you were like my best friend , more than that you were like a brother. We have so much similarities and I wish you and I would’ve met sooner in life. I moved here in 86, you moved here in 87 and we hung out all of the same places in Marietta and didn’t even know it . I know we had to pass earlier in life and hopefully will too again later life. 🙏🥲🍻. I love you brother. Peace Out .

Before I medically retired from Cobb County Water, I would see Jimi everyday. His smile and laugh were infectious. I never saw him have a bad day. Driving his Harley in spring and fall. He simply loved life. He will so be missed. My sympathy to his family during this difficult time.
