James Gregory Randall

Mr. James Gregory Randall, 60, lifelong resident of Marietta, GA died August 20, 2021. A Chapel service will be held Thursday, August 26, 11am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with burial to follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm and on Thursday from 10am – 10:45am.

Greg, former working partner of Randall Bros. Construction, Inc., died of complications from a massive heart attack.

Greg's childhood memories were of playing baseball on the E. Marietta Little League All-Stars teams for the beloved Coach Richard Hilton. He was a multi-sport athlete at Wheeler High School in the class of '79. He played tennis, baseball, basketball, and football. He was a talented singer and musician and was much loved in the lead role as Fonzie aka “The Fonz” in the school’s Happy Days play. He attended Roswell St. Baptist Church.

In his adult years, he enjoyed music, his garden, nature, and competing in billiard tournaments. He loved animals, both his pets and in nature. He was much loved by his family and had a joyful, imaginative sense of humor. He was kind-hearted and was greatly appreciated for spending long periods of time lovingly caring for critically-ill family members — his grandmother and brother. He’s been a helping hand for many in his family, friends, and neighbors.
