James T. (Jim) Smathers, age 66, of Kennesaw, Ga passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was in the presence of his loving family. Jim was loved very much by everyone who knew him. He was a resident of Kennesaw GA most of his life. He was a generous, loyal, loving man. He was an amazing, Son, Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Friend.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 42 Years – Deborah Smathers; Daughters – Alesia Smathers, & Ashley Smathers Richards, Brother – Kenn Smathers; Sister – Mary Helen Hagin; and grandchildren – Vinson Johns and Madelyn Vann.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Smathers will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2pm from the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 5-8pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
