James Clinton Williams Jr., age 80, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was born on August 31, 1940 in Cartersville, GA to his late parents, James Clinton Williams and Sara Dorothy Padgett Williams. James was a truck driver for 31 years. He loved Georgia football and Braves Baseball. James always loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He was a social butterfly, and he never met a stranger. James loved to go to yard sales, and he loved his coffee. Out of all the things that James loved, his Wife Frances, or as he would call her “Honey” was what he loved most. Frances was the love of his life and they spent 25 wonderful years together. James was a devoted father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. All those who know James will miss him always.
James is survived by his sons, Clint (Diana) Williams, Cory (Lillian) Williams, and Eddie Earley (Emily) Williams; Aunt, Aunt Fannie Bess Brown; grandchildren, Lindsey (Matt) Williams, Brandon Williams, Erin (Corey) Sligh, Chelsey (Wesley) Tipton, and Brittany Williams; and 5 great grandchildren, Parx, Bexley, Elijah, Peyton, and Gunner.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James Clinton Williams and Sara Dorothy Padgett Williams; and his wife Frances Williams.
